Hello, dear readers. Time seems to have stopped. Despite the fact that today is already December 26, he stopped somewhere there, at the end of February 2022. The most terrible year during the existence of independent Ukraine. A year that changed the lives of tens of millions of people, and that's only in Ukraine! Yesterday's day and night passed relatively calmly. In some areas, there was no shelling at all. We did not have scheduled power outages, which we are already well used to. Nevertheless, the feeling of anxiety did not disappear anywhere. Firstly, there have been no rocket attacks for a long time, and the threat of them is quite high. Secondly, the news. In general, I stopped watching TV about 10 years ago. Occasionally, only films on different subjects are exceptions. Sometimes you want to watch something about nature, sometimes an action movie. If I start watching the news, I lose my balance, I don't know what to do next and whether I should do anything at all. Especially since the news is often negative. But there is currently a war going on and there is no way to do without them, the news.

Orcs or Russians?

From the beginning of the war, I really disliked the definition of the attacker, the enemy as an orc. At the time, I didn't know how to explain it. But he never called the attacker "orcs" in his blog. A few months after the war, I came across a YouTube video where a woman explained why the attackers of Ukraine should not be called "Orcs", but rather Russians. And today I saw the publication of Danilov, the secretary of the National Security Council of Ukraine, about the same thing. He emphasizes that by abusing such words as orcs, pig dogs, Russians, we ourselves blur the image of the enemy. And it really is. Who is attacking Ukraine? Of course, these are Russians, residents of a country called Russia. This is how it should be said and it should be documented for future generations.

In this video, orcs ask not to call Russians orcs. The reason: Orcs don't kill women, children, steal washing machines, or poop on carpets. They do not destroy animals. The fantasy creatures emphasize that they are warriors and are ashamed in front of the children for comparing them to Russians.

Of course, pig dogs sound quite apt, as well as Russian. Orcs are barbarians, creatures endowed with animal features, cruelty. They are scary both on the face and in the soul. Still, these orcs are fictional, fantastical barbarians. They are used in fantasy and other works of art, that is, the connection with real life is minimal. But the Russians are our terrible everyday life, there are no fantasies there. These people, the Russians, our eastern neighbors, with whom we existed relatively peacefully for a long time, have now come to Ukrainian land, kill innocent people, loot, rape. And perhaps the most terrible thing in this story is that they do not regret their actions, but on the contrary, they boast and call for more killing. This killing machine, sick Russian society, includes many levels starting from the performers themselves, that is, soldiers and ending with propagandists. Some experts in the field of psychiatry say that it resembles acute schizophrenia of society, others - chronic. Observing the war and events in Russia, I lean more towards the second option.

Let's return to Danilov, who focuses on the so-called "brotherhood" of nations, reminds us that the bloody and merciless war was not started by the Orcs, but by the Russians. All this should be recorded not only in our memory, but also documented. And it is probably inappropriate to insult pigs and dogs, using the combination of these words into a neologism for the name of Russians, the official subtly noticed. And together with the word Russian, you need to write the truth, that is, use such words as murderer, rapist, occupier, thief, invader.

Війна: “орки” чи все-таки росіяни?

Привіт, шановні читачі. Час неначе зупинився. Попри те, що сьогодні вже 26 грудня, зупинився він десь там, в кінці лютого 2022 року. Найстрашніший рік за час існування незалежної України. Рік, який змінив життя десятків мільйонів людей і це тільки в Україні! Вчорашній день та ніч минули відносно спокійно. В деяких областях навіть не було обстрілів. В нас же не було планових відключень електроенергії, до яких ми вже добряче звикли. Та все ж відчуття тривоги нікуди не зникло. По-перше, давно не було ракетних обстрілів, а загроза їх досить висока. По-друге, новини. Взагалі, я перестав дивитись телевізор близько 10 років тому. Зрідка виключення становлять тільки фільми на різну тематику. Колись хочеться переглянути щось про природу, іноді бойовик. Якщо ж починаю дивитись новини, то втрачаю рівновагу, не знаю, що робити далі і чи варто взагалі щось робити. Тим більше, що новини найчастіше несуть негатив. Та наразі йде війна і без них, новин, ніяк не обійтись.

“Орки” чи може росіяни?

З самого початку війни мені дуже не сподобалося визначення нападника, ворога як орка. Тоді я не знав, чим це пояснити. Але в своєму блозі ніколи не називав нападника “орками”. Через кілька місяців війни я надибав на відео YouTube, де якась жіночка пояснювала, чому не варто називати нападників на Україну “орками”, а говорити прямо — росіяни. І ось сьогодні побачив публікацію Данілова, секретаря Ради національної безпеки України, про те ж саме. Він наголошує на тому, що зловживаючи такими словечками як орки, свинособаки, русня ми самі ж розмиваємо образ ворога. І це дійсно так. Хто нападає на Україну? Звичайно ж, це росіяни, жителі країни під назвою Росія. Так потрібно говорити і це потрібно документувати для майбутніх поколінь.

В цьому відео орки просять не називати росіян орками. Причина: орки не вбивають жінок, дітей, не крадуть пральні машини та не гадять на килимах. Вони не знищують тварин. Фентезійні створіння наголошують на тому, що вони воїни і їм соромно перед дітьми за те, що їх порівнюють з росіянами.

Звичайно, свинособаки звучить досить влучно, як і русня. Орки — це варвари, створіння наділені звіриними рисами, жорстокістю. Вони страшні і на лице, і в душі. Та все ж ці орки — вигадані, фантастичні варвари. Використовують їх у фентезійних та інших художніх творах, тобто зв'язок з реальним життям мінімальний. Зате росіяни — це наша страшна буденність, ніяких там фентезі. Ці люди, росіяни, наші східні сусіди, з якими ми існували довгий час відносно мирно, тепер прийшли на українську землю, вбивають невинних людей, мародерять, гвалтують. Й можливо, найстрашніше в цій історії це те, що вони не жалкують про свої діяння, а навпаки — вихваляються і закликають вбивати далі. Ця убивча машина, хворе російське суспільство, включає в себе чимало рівнів, починаючи від самих виконавців, тобто, солдатів і закінчуючи пропагандистами. Одні експерти в області психіатрії кажуть, що це нагадує гостру шизофренію суспільства, інші — хронічну. Спостерігаючи за війною і подіями на росії, схиляюсь більше до другого варіанту.

Повернемося до Данілова, який акцентує увагу на так званому “братстві” народів, нагадує про те, що криваву і безжалісну війну розпочали не орки, а росіяни. Все це повинно закарбуватися не тільки в нашій з вами пам'яті, а й документально. А ще мабуть недоречно ображати свиней та собак, використовуючи об'єднання цих слів в неологізм для назви росіян, тонко підмітив чиновник. А ще разом зі словом росіянин потрібно писати правду, тобто вживати такі слова як вбивця, гвалтівник, окупант, крадій, загарбник.
