I know that all Ukrainians want one thing - the end of the war, a peaceful sky above their heads, a fulfilling life, when it will be possible to forget about alarm sirens, shelling and terrible news about the atrocities of the Russians, which we have to read every hour. There are too many predictions about the end of the war. For example, Kyrylo Budanov, Ukraine's chief intelligence officer, believes that the war will end by the summer of 2023. Moreover, he advises Ukrainians to prepare for trips to Crimea, which already misses its relatives and tourists very much. I would like this prediction to turn out to be true. I haven't been to Crimea for a long time.

Western experts are more restrained in their forecasts, rarely tying them to specific dates. Nevertheless, analysts predict the continuation of the war in the next year and even until the end of 2023. It is the next year that will be decisive in this bloody war, which, by the way, the Kremlin dictator does not plan to end, as yet. Of course, the support of the West will play a decisive role in our victory. Thanks to allies and partners, Ukraine receives large volumes of modern weapons, military equipment, machinery, clothing, and medical supplies. But arms deliveries must be preventive. That is, weapons should be delivered to the most problematic places, and even before active hostilities. This will reduce the escalation of the conflict and the number of human casualties. But everyone understands this well, but they think for a long time. Why? Political and economic interests. Like this. By the way, the Chairman of the Bundestag committee criticized Scholz's political actions and called for long-term forecasting and arms supplies by Germany. This is exactly what she said about the preventive nature of deliveries.

My thoughts on war are constantly changing. Are you like that too? If for some time I expected a quick victory, now I look at these events a little differently. Yes, a quick win is certainly a good thing. This means fewer victims and a return to normal life as soon as possible, the kind we were used to before February 24, when Russian troops violated the state border of Ukraine and began the genocide of the people. Quick win. In this case, aggressive Russians, a huge sick society and the Kremlin regime, will not forget about us, will not let us rest. After a short period of time, there would be a high probability of a second invasion, new shelling, torture, killing of civilians, deportation of children...

It is quite possible that the situation should develop exactly as it is developing. The armed forces of Ukraine are gradually liberating the territory of the country, centimeter by centimeter. Russia is losing soldiers en masse. The number of killed Russian soldiers has already exceeded 103,000. More than 6,000 armored combat vehicles, 3,000 tanks, 16 boats and ships, 653 cruise missiles, about 280 airplanes and approximately the same number of helicopters were destroyed. It is also necessary to understand that such data are conditionally accurate, because there is a war going on and it is very difficult to count. Instead, the Ukrainian command protects its soldiers as much as possible in the conditions of a terrible war, which is about 90% an artillery war. That is, the war is exhausting. And although we, the Ukrainians, have to pay for this in blood, in this way it will be possible to reduce the offensive potential of the bunker-like, Russian dictator to the minimum level. And the GDP of the EU and the USA is more than 40 trillion dollars, and Russia and its "friends" are 20 times less. There is an equally important detail, because the quick victory of Ukraine means huge losses among the ranks of the Armed Forces. And indeed, it is possible to push the Russian army beyond the Ukrainian borders, losing tens or even hundreds of thousands of people. Similar tactics are demonstrated by Russian troops. But will we be able to keep the border from the enemy?

What will happen next, after the capitulation of Russia, how the territorial integrity of Ukraine will be ensured with or without NATO, depends on the politicians. Everything above and below is only the opinion of the author, a subjective and, I admit, erroneous view of all events. Unfortunately, it was not possible to drink coffee with Biden, Macron or Scholz. If I could, I would tell a much more interesting story.

Without illusions

I think that it is not worth building illusions about a quick end to hostilities. Yes, the war can end faster than you and I can understand it. But this is unlikely. Illusions should not be created, because in this case it will lead to a depressive state. I myself have observed a similar picture more than once. So, expecting a quick end to the war, he made plans, waited... When the war continued, the conflict unfolded with new force, and experts predicted a new offensive of the enemy, shock, depression, apathy, disappointment set in all over the world. It is necessary to perceive all events as they are, not to hope for a miracle. But we all clearly understand: the war will end and Ukraine will win! And all those responsible for criminal actions will be brought to justice.

Швидка перемога: чи потрібна вона Україні?

Привіт, шановні читачі. Знаю, що всі українці хочуть одного — закінчення війни, мирного неба над головою, повноцінного життя, коли можна буде забути про сирени тривоги, обстріли та жахливі новини про звірства росіян, які доводиться читати щогодини. Прогнозів щодо закінчення війни забагато. Наприклад, Кирило Буданов, головний розвідник України, вважає, що до літа 2023 року війна закінчиться. Більше того, він радить українцям готуватися до поїздок в Крим, який вже дуже скучив за рідними, своїми туристами. Хотілось би, щоб саме цей прогноз виявився правдивим. Давно не був в Криму.

Західні есперти більш стримані у своїх прогнозах, рідко прив'язують їх до конкертних дат. Та все ж, аналітики прогнозують продовження війни в на тупному році і навіть до кінця 2023 року. Саме наступний рік стане вирішальним у цій довбаній війні, яку, до речі, кремлівський диктатор таки не планує завершувати, поки що не планує. Звичайно, вирішальну роль в нашій перемозі зіграє підтримка Заходу. Дякуючи союзникам та партнерам, Україна отримує великі об'єми сучасного озброєння, військового обладнання, техніки, одягу, медичних засобів. Але поставки озброєння повинні бути первентивні. Тобто, озброєння повинно поставлятися в найбільш проблемні місця, причому ще до активних бойових дій. Це дозволить зменшити ескалацію конфлікту та кількість людських жертв. Та всі це добре розуміють, але довго думають. Чому? Політичні та економічні інтереси. Ось так. До речі, Голова комітету Бундестагу критично висловилася про політичні дії Шольца та призвала до довгострокового прогнозування та поставок зброї Німеччиною. Це саме вона сказала про первентивність поставок.

Мої думки про війну постійно змінюються. У вас теж так? Якщо певний час очікував швидкої перемоги, то зараз дивлюся на ці події трохи по-іншому. Так, швидка перемога — це, звичайно, добре. Це менше жертв і якнайскоріше повернення до нормального життя, такого, до якого ми звикли до 24 лютого, коли російські війська порушили державний кордон України та почали геноцид народу. Швидка перемога. В такому разі агресивні росіяни, величезне хворе суспільство та кремлівський режим, не забудуть про нас, не дадуть спокою. Через короткий проміжок часу була б висока ймовірність повторного вторгнення, нові обстріли, катівні, вбивства мирних людей, депортація дітей...

Цілком можливо, що ситуація і повинна розвиватися саме так, як вона розвивається. Збройні сили України поступово звільняють територію країни, сантиметр за сантиметром. Росія ж масово втрачає солдат. Кількість вбитих російських військових вже перевалила за 103 тисячі. Знищено більше 6 тисяч бойових броньованих машин, 3 тисячі танків, 16 катерів та кораблів, 653 крилатих ракет, близько 280 літаків і приблизно стільки ж гелікоптерів. Ця інформація зі зведення Генерального штабу України за 27 грудня 2022 року. Ще треба розуміти, що подібні дані є умовно точними, адже йде війна і вести підрахунок дуже важко. Натомість українське командування береже своїх солдат, наскільки це можливо в умовах страшної війни, яка десь на 90% є війною артилерії. Тобто, війна іде на виснаження. І хоча за це доводиться платити кров'ю нам, українцям, таким чином вдасться знизити до мінімального рівня наступальний потенціал бункерного, російського диктатора. А ще ВВП країн ЄС та США становить більше 40 трлн доларів, а росії розом з її “друзями” в 20 разів менше. Є не менш важлива деталь, адже швидка перемога України — це величезні втрати серед лав Збройних сил. І дійсно, можна відкинути російську армію за українські кордони, втративши при цьому десятки чи навіть сотні тисяч людей. Подібну тактику демонструють російські війська. Та чи вдасться нам потім утримати кордон від ворога?

Як буде далі, після капітуляції росії, яким чином буде забезпечуватися територіальна недоторканність України з НАТО чи без, то вже залежить від політиків. Все вище і нижческазане — то лише думки автора, суб'єктивний і, допускаю, помилковий погляд на всі події. На жаль, не доводилося пити каву з Байденом, Макроном чи Шольцом. Якби довелось, то розказав би набагато цікавішу історію.

Без ілюзій

Думаю, що ілюзій про швидке закінчення бойових дій будувати не варто. Так, війна може закінчитися швидше, чим ми з вами зможемо це зрозуміти. Та це малоймовірно. Ілюзій не варто створювати тому, що в такому випадку це призведе до депресивного стану. Подібну картину неодноразово спостерігав сам. Так, очікуючи швидкого завершення війни, будував плани, чекав... Коли ж війна продовжувалась, конфлікт розгорався з новою силою, а експерти прогнозували новий наступ ворога, наступав шок, депресія, апатія, розчарування в усьому світі. Сприймати всі події потрібно такими, якими вони є, не сподіватися на якесь чудо. Та всі ми чітко розуміємо: війна закінчиться і переможе Україна! А всі відповідальні за злочинні дії будуть притягнуті до відповідальності.
