Привіт! Росте на моїй плантації дерево з величезними ключками довжиною близько 10 сантиметрів. Щороку добре родить невеличкими “яблуками”, всередині яких є кілька кісточок з характерними гранями. Висота дерева сягає близько 5 метрів й цього року у мене вже увірвався терпець і я вирішив прибрати колючу рослину.

Навіщо у дворі, а росте глід великоплідний безпосередньо біля паркану, ця колюча рослина, тим паче, що плоди ніхто не хоче їсти? Крутився я біля глоду кілька годин та й вирішив відкласти цю роботу до наступного року. Причина проста: забагато роботи з надзвичайно великими колючками. Міцне й в'язке дерево доведеться ретельно розпиляти, а потім обережно виносити з подвір'я такі ж колючі гілки. Та й виносити їх немає куди.

Ще однією з причин, чому я вирішив залишити глід, стала інформація про те, що глід відлякує злих духів. Тому гілки з колючками у Древній Греції вішали на вхідних дверях. А в кельтській культурі вважали, що глід допомагає вилікувати розбите серце. Тому хай росте й відганяє всіляку нечисть.

Взагалі ж, глід великоплідний невибаглива рослина. Всього налічують понад 200 видів глоду. Ймовірно, є неврожайні роки, та щось я їх не можу пригадати. Плоди добряче осипаються.

Різні інтернет-джерела пишуть, що глід — це надзвичайно корисна рослина. Плоди допомагають від головного болю, лікують серце, тиск тощо. Та для досягнення терапевтичного ефекту плоди рослини потрібно вживати на постійній основі.

Hawthorn: from diseases and evil spirits

Hello! There is a tree on my plantation with huge clubs about 10 centimeters long. Every year it gives birth to small "apples", inside of which there are several bones with characteristic edges. The tree is about 5 meters tall, and this year I lost my patience and decided to remove the thorny plant.

Why do I need this thorny plant in the yard, when the large-fruited hawthorn grows right next to the fence, especially since no one wants to eat the fruit? I tended to the hawthorn for several hours and decided to postpone this work until next year. The reason is simple: it's too much work with extremely large thorns. A strong and tough tree will have to be carefully sawn down, and then the same thorny branches will have to be carefully removed from the yard. And there is nowhere to take them out.

Another reason why I decided to leave the hawthorn was the information that hawthorn scares away evil spirits. That is why branches with thorns were hung on the front door in ancient Greece. And in Celtic culture, hawthorn was believed to help heal a broken heart. So let it grow and drive away all kinds of evil spirits.

In general, hawthorn is a large-fruited, unpretentious plant. In total, there are more than 200 species of hawthorn. Probably, there are some lean years, but I can't remember them. The fruits crumble a lot.

Various online sources say that hawthorn is an extremely useful plant. The fruits help with headaches, treat heart disease, blood pressure, etc. However, to achieve the therapeutic effect, the fruits of the plant should be consumed on a regular basis.
