Hello, dear readers! Today I decided to deviate from the topic of the genocide of the Ukrainian people by the Russian aggressor, the destruction of cities, culture and all living things. I would like to dwell on ecology, a catastrophe that will affect every person who plans to live on this planet.

The war has devastated the environment, writes the Economist. Tens of thousands of forests burned completely, dolphins died in the Black Sea, trees were illegally cut down in nature reserves and parks. The size of the losses amounts to tens of billions of dollars. In fact, this topic recedes into the background, when every day as a result of Russian aggression, missile and artillery strikes, civilians of Ukraine are killed and maimed. Nevertheless, the problem exists and over time it will harm every inhabitant of the Earth.

The rates of air and agricultural land pollution in Ukraine are astounding. In the past year 2022, more than 600,000 tons of fuel and lubricants burned up as a result of missile strikes on oil storage facilities and bases. The results of combustion rise into the air and settle on fertile Ukrainian soils. And this is not to mention the daily shelling of cities, villages, military duels. It should be reminded that in Europe, Ukrainian chernozems make up about a third, and in the world - 9%. And although Ukraine is inferior to large countries in terms of grain production, it still occupies or, rather, occupied the seventh place in the world. This means that Ukrainian grain is exported all over the world, not to mention the domestic market.

Perhaps someone thinks that heavy metals, toxic types of fuel used in rockets, are washed away by the first rain. But, unfortunately, they will become an integral part of nature and will remind of themselves even decades later in the form of cancer and other diseases that are extremely dangerous for human health. You should think about this even if you live on another continent and right now, when you buy a delicious bread with a fragrant crust in the store. Of course, the Ukrainians suffer the most from the Russian invasion, but this war will affect each of you. It, this cursed war, must be ended before it is too late. And only the whole world can help in this.

Наслідки війни: катастрофа для України чи світу?

Привіт, шановні читачі! Сьогодні вирішив відхилитися від теми геноциду українського народу російським агресором, знищення міст, культури та всього живого. Хотілось би зупинитись на екології, катастрофі, яка торкнеться кожної людини, що планує жити на цій планеті.

Війна призвела до спустошення навколишнього середовища, пише видання Economist. Повністю вигоріли десятки тисяч лісів, загинули дельфіни в Чорному морі, незаконно вирубані дерева в заповідниках та парках. Розмір збитків нараховує десятки мільярдів доларів. Насправді, ця тема відходить на другий план, коли щодня внаслідок російської агресії, ракетним та артилерійським ударам гинуть та стають каліками мирні жителі України. Та все ж проблема існує і з часом вона завдасть шкоди кожному жителю Землі.

Темпи забруднення повітря та сільськогосподарських угідь України вражають. І хоча Україна поступається великим країнам по виробництву зернових, та все ж займає чи, скоріше, займала сьоме місце в світі. Це означає, що українське зерно експортується по всьому світу, не кажучи вже про внутрішній ринок.

Можливо хтось думає, що важкі метали, над токсичні види палива, які використовуються в ракетах, змиваються першим дощиком. Та вони, на жаль, стануть невід'ємною частиною природи і будуть нагадувати про себе навіть через десятки років у вигляді раку, інших вкрай небезпечних для здоров'я людини хвороб. Про це варто задуматися навіть в тому випадку, якщо ви живете на іншому материку і саме зараз, коли ви купуєте в магазині смачний хлібець з запашною скоринкою. Звичайно, що найбільше від російського вторгнення страждають саме українці, але ця війна торкнеться кожного з вас. Її, цю кляту війну, потрібно закінчувати, поки ще не пізно. І допомогти в цьому може тільки весь світ.
